Despite the war between Wutai and ShinRa, Tseng serves the company loyally, never faltering during the wars that raged. His career as the company's dependable operative of espionage was fraught with lessons that were hard-learned, but though the path was laden with difficulties that seemed to overshadow his many triumphs at times, his spirit was indomitable. Over time he learned to balance being both human and Turk, and when Tseng was able to flawlessly stage the death of the mentor he worked closely with for years, he was finally ready to take up the mantle as the leader of the Turk faction.
